FAQ
Questions, answered honestly.
How does booking work?
Pick your dates and bus on the booking page, add anything you want, and you get an itemized price instantly. A 30% deposit holds your date; the balance is due 7 days before. You sign the rental agreement online. No account, no phone tag, unless you want to talk, in which case text us.
Why are the base rates so low?
Because the bus is the easy part. The base rate covers the vehicle, the lounge, the bed, the bar setup and the sound system. Crew, drinks, power, tents and toys are priced separately so a parked mansion-party annex does not pay for a chauffeur it never used, and a Burning Man week does not pay for a bartender.
Can we drive it ourselves?
No. Whenever passengers ride, a licensed, passenger-endorsed chauffeur from our team drives (add the Professional Chauffeur extra). For multi-day festivals the bus is delivered and parked; you live in it and we pick it up after.
What about alcohol?
Guests 21+ can bring their own, and our bartender add-on will serve it. By California law, if anyone under 21 is on board a designated adult (25+) chaperone must be named before departure and IDs are checked at boarding. We do not sell alcohol.
Does it really work at Burning Man?
Yes. Solar plus a lithium bank runs lights, sound, fridge and fans for the week; Starlink keeps you online. Dust seals and a sealed sleeping loft keep the playa outside. You need a Vehicle Pass from your ticket order, and we deliver as your camp's infrastructure, coordinated with your camp lead. The bus stays parked on playa unless it is licensed as a Mutant Vehicle.
How many people fit?
Up to 22 lounging and dancing on The All-Seeing Eye and 24 on The Nightshade. The Eye sleeps 6, the Nightshade 4. Seated passenger counts while driving are set by the licensed configuration of each bus.
Is there a bathroom and shower?
Both buses have an onboard restroom. For multi-day stays we recommend the restroom trailer add-on for big groups, and we offer tank pump-out and water refills on site.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are refundable up to 30 days before your event (14 days for single-day bookings). Inside that window the deposit converts to a credit valid for 12 months.
Are you licensed and insured?
Rides with passengers are operated under a California charter-party carrier permit with commercial passenger liability coverage, CHP-inspected vehicles and background-checked, drug-tested chauffeurs. A damage deposit hold is placed on a card before pickup and released after a clean return.
Do you travel outside San Diego?
All of Southern California, Vegas, Reno/Black Rock, the Bay Area, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Temecula and Baja (with extra paperwork). Each day includes a mileage allowance; longer hauls are priced per mile and shown in your quote.
Can I rent both buses?
Yes. Multi-bus bookings get an automatic discount and a single logistics lead. The Nightshade is the nightlife bus; The All-Seeing Eye is the one you sleep in.
